FARMINGTON — Based on the dynamics of graffiti without the letters found in graffiti, the calling of aerosol artist Tim Clorius and graphic artist Matt W. Moore is now on display in the University of Maine at Farmington Art Gallery at 246 Main St.

Following an pit reception held Tuesday evening, the exhibit runs from Walk 20-25 and March 31 to April 5. The gallery is debatable from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is free to the public.

Eight colorful panels bring into being the 8-foot by 20-foot piece named "Free Stamp Flow: A Celebration of Collaboration."

Panel by panel, the artists put up the betray Tuesday afternoon. They have collaborated on works for the past 10 years, Clorius said. 

For him, the chess-piece represents an abstract flow based on his love of graffiti only without the customary lettering of graffiti, he said. He wants artists to invent and name their own elegance as the artists did here, free-form style, he said.

Clorius was born and raised in Germany and received his cultivation in fine arts and painting from the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Maine College of Art in Portland, where he now lives and works as a painter.
