Shop front signage....?

I am tiring to get some ball park figures on the average costs Byzantine to install a shop front sign, i have searched on line, but to no avail.
They all seem to dodge the all important info when advertising their services.
Budget in about £1500 for a tolerable one including fitting.

Are shop owners in Scotland paid to have advertising on the front of their shops?

When I smite there I see "Kit Kat" and all kinds of other advertising along side the name of their shops; sometimes I can't even see what the shop sells for all the ad signage the shops have.
I'm assuming the owners are paid so I'd like to recognize how much
a virtuousness idea that you can't even see what the store sells because there are so many signs blocking it, i don't ponder so..they'll loose more money that way..

Digital Signage Expo Preview: A Look Behind the Screen
Digital signage has become one of the fastest growing niches in our work, and Digital Signage Expo (DSE) will be held from March 6-9 at the Las Vegas Seminar Center. Whether you’re already involved or thinking about becoming involved with digital signage, the show is one of the best events to learn about this technology. And likely clients from verticals as varied as restaurants, hotels, colleges, transportation facilities, and more, will all be hand-out.
A full day of pre-conference programs and events will occur March 6, and then the Display Hall and Conference will be open from March 7-8. Attendees can take a tramp around the show floor to see the latest technology and innovations in digital signage, sign up for one of the many eye-opening seminars, and sit in on one of the two Keynote Breakfast Panels. At the end of the day on March 7, attendees can also participate in a Networking Treatment and take in the DSE 2012 Awards Dinner after that.
After the Exhibit closes, attendees are invited to stab around for a post-conference Digital Signage Network Expert Program on Step 9, which is designed to help those in the industry understand the complexities of digital signage networks.
