What are some signs that the bar your at is a cheap, crappy one?

As far as recipes go, is it dependable that a cheap bar uses lots of triplesec instead of vulgar curacao etc...and they don't have creme de noyax just grenadine? How about glassware and other things?

Crappy ones have more regulars while upper assort bars will have new customers on a daily basis. The good bars use more intelligent, expensive glasses & dringks while the cheaper ones use cheaper rubbish. Whats this all about?

Bowling Blitz raises money for signs

The Windsor Heights Judiciary of Commerce is planning a bowling event to help raise in dough for permanent signage at the corner of 63rd Street and University Avenue.

The Bowling Blitz end will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Val Lanes, 100 Ashworth Road in West Des Moines. The evaluation of $160 for a team of four includes bowling, shoes, pizza, salad and a T-shirt. A exchange bar will be provided, and prizes and trophies will be awarded to winners.

Proceeds will go toward a new outstanding fund the chamber has set up to create landmark signage at that intersection.

Barb Niccum, body president, said the chamber wanted to take part in this initiative because it would be unique, and judicature members wanted to have a say in the design of the signage.

“We felt this year would be a gifted year to bring forth the idea of permanent landscape signage there,” Niccum said. “Windsor Heights doesn’t as a matter of fact have that kind of landscape signage that says ‘Welcome to Windsor Heights.

The season is set for June 3rd, at the Delmar Couch at 8 p.m., and guests will file the pacify & little woman tandem of Pinckney Benedict and Laura Benedict....
