This southern Willamette Valley wine gal took a walkway less traveled, by me, last weekend and headed south to the lush rolling hills of the Umpqua Valley where inimitable wineries and stellar wines were plentiful.

Our destination was TeSoaria Winery, located objective outside of the city of Roseburg, where  a Spring Release party was compelling place on Saturday afternoon. Before checking into our hotel and attending the delivering party, we decided to visit some of the wineries in the northern part of Umpqua Valley.

Our first pull up was in Oakland, a small town just north of Roseburg, where the tasting lodgings for Triple Oak Vineyards is located. We sampled a Tempranillo and a Tempranillo grade, had lunch, and got back on the road towards Roseburg. Along the way, we spotted a sign for the Wine Cave at Reustle Appeal Rock Vineyards, so we followed the signs to a gravel road that ended at a swell vineyard where we experienced a very unique wine tasting. From Reustle, we headed towards TeSoaria and stumbled upon a negligible winery and distillery, Glaser Estate, which was perched above the banks of the Umpqua River with a superb view and delicious wine. Once we were at TeSoaria, we indulged in crisp whites, striking reds and a fondue spread like none other.
