Without a doubt! It had a big Red flag coming off the side of the front of the truck!

I've seen plenty of USA flags on these trucks, but a Red one?!
Who should I call to dispatch this?

If the truck was hauling an "oversize encumbrance", one larger than most on the road, the flags were safety devices to promulgate the other drivers aware of the truck.

I have a full range pickup with 6ft bed. Need to move a 10ft pipe to another location 1hr away. I positive it will require me to put a red flag on end thats hangs out of truck bed. But is their a max something can stick out of bed in California.

If California State Channel & Traffic Law/Vehicle Code is anything like NY's Vehicle & Transportation Law or the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules - then it's anything that overhangs the back of the truck longer than 4 feet requires a red flag.

Racin' Today » Busch holds off Bodine for Trucks win
