The “Bates Motel” on Caruthers « Lost Oregon
Back in the 90s in 80s/beginning, when I attended PSU, I used lawn down towards the end of the effervescent water Ave. and draw on the hill to go to Caruthers my classes. (The rise has been painful torture, but parking was sumptuous.) On the way, there was a lineage that has apparently been occupied by some wacky artists. There were sculptures in particular all windows, a gigantic phallus with a cowboy hat on the door, and a sign proclaiming the place the "Bates Motel."
Regularly I can not be the only one in the flesh who remembers this categorization, even if it was on a black run. The colossal behatted Dingus was nice to honor a sticker, if nothing else. But looking around online returns unconscious.
Do you know anyone who would be informed that some House and its occupants? I was advocacy on the artwork strange since, and now I boot me that I have not found the time. I get paid I do not speculation, as I dubiety I could hallucinate something queer about mine....

In 1940 the CSAA (forefather to AAA) posted membership at 100,000. By 1958 it had quadrupled to more than 400,000. In regularity to suit all this new tripper traffic, motor hotels sprouted like mushrooms -- and pastoral communities, which had been trial economically for years, were assumption renewed ambition as they profited from this emerging holiday-maker energy.
