Where can I find a neon Budweiser or Miller Lite sign that doesn't cost too much for the sign or shipping?
by pritip_2006 | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
Im currently in Philadelphia and I don't differentiate if there any stores around here that sell neon Miller Lite or Budweiser beer signs. That would be ideal because then I wouldn't have to pay shipping, which on EBAY seems to be about $99 for most signs.
Try your townsperson bars, they might have one there not using and sell it to you at a good price, they most of the time get them free anyway.

The Roundtabler - Mike Murphy: Saturday Morning at LD's Filling Station
I had breakfast in a bar this morning. Not because I passed out in one last twilight, mind you. At midnight I was pulling into a Holiday Inn in Mason Urban district, Iowa while noting the gigantic Perry for President tour bus looming in the parking lot and hoping not to collide with into the Perry entourage as I slunk into the lobby. It’s never much fun explaining one’s old “chimp playing with a locked formerly portmanteau” debate cracks to a weary candidate who knows he is accepted to lose an election in three days. Luckily for me, the Governor was nowhere to be seen in the still lobby.
Back to the bar. Mason City is tidy and proud, but in the older downtown parade-ground the small and occasionally wonderful brick buildings built in rumble times eighty years ago, betray empty store windows and faded signs from businesses yearn gone. This is not millionaires row.
Nearby, LD’s Filler Station looks more like a small machine shop than a bar. Contents a squat, nearly unmarked brick building with no windows and a hit-or-miss paint job. You find it in the morning by zeroing in on a clump of cars, mostly American, gathered in the back of a charitable empty concrete lot beside a few other industrial buildings. Three grimy semi trailers, socialistic behind by their cabs, and a pair of rusted freeway style overhead lights picket the empty remainder of the lot.
