whats the best settings on a digtal camer to take night photos such as streat lights, neon signs and buildings

right i got a new digital camera, the Cannon S3IS. I try to take night photos of neon lights, and buildings. I do not know much about ISO and shutter speed. suggestions or pointers would be appreciated.

First and foremost, you need to mount the camera on a tripod.
Select the lowest ISO practical.
Turn image stabilization, because you need it.
Theres a figure up ways you can do .... Choose AV ... select an opening between 2.8 to 5.

Neon Signs?

I have a 1992 Budweiser Neon Put under contract. The lights broke and I am wondering where to get replacement lights. Here is what the Information Stickers say.

cheating , depends where your are.. helps..

might be the gas inside the tube that has gone, not satisfied if you can replace that. .there was a shop in NW london in the harrow road that did / made neon signs.. they would be clued up on such things.

Provincetown building commissioner launches effort to revamp neon sign rules

Dozens of house owners around town got a surprise recently when they received a letter from Structure Commissioner Russ Braun saying that the neon signs in their windows are in violation of the metropolis’s zoning and general bylaws.

“I got the sign five years ago and was told that anything privileged was OK,” Luanne McCollum said to selectmen at their meeting last week. McCollum, P of Waves Salon at 81 Shank Painter Road, was one of two obligation owners to speak about the letter during public statements.

“I got the same letter,” said Scott Caldwell, P of Jonathan Williams Salon at 139 Bradford St. Caldwell said he has had his neon warning for four years and that he had asked town officials about it and was told that if it was inside the window he could go up ahead. “Now I’m being told to take it down. They’ve been inspecting the building for four years and never said a tete-. I spent a lot of money on this sign. I think it’s ridiculous.
