The Mixing Bowl Bakery, which opened in 1926, has moved its operations to a 2,000-even-foot space next to Westbury Pharmacy on Three Chopt Road in Henrico County.

"The pause is great. The location is great," said owner Tracy Stevens, who bought the bakery in 2009.

She said the new arrange allows her to better serve her clientele by being in a central location as well as giving her the elbow-room to expand her products.

The new bakery also has received rabbinical approval and is kosher.

Before the move, The Mixing Pan had operated from 4120 W. Broad St. and in the Short Pump area of Henrico. Those two locations have closed, and everything is now handled out of the new stretch.

Stevens said she's been talking with the owners of Westbury for some time — initially to bracket some of her products for sale there. But the pharmacy was scaling back its food market offerings, so the larger place was available.
